We seek to find and reach villages with the Gospel which have no churches, missionaries or believers. We do not send missionaries from America, but rely on indigenous, local partners in the country to reach areas of their country where the Gospel has not gone and that foreign missionaries will probably never reach. We help local believers be able to accomplish that mission through biblical equipping, training and building their ministry capacity for outreach and multiplication. We believe that our mission strategy is the most effective and efficient way to fulfill the great commission in villages that have remained unreached and untouched by previous mission efforts.

The North Alabama Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church has partnered with two annual conferences in Nigeria to help them administratively transition from our previous denomination. Also, we are helping support a large school system called Ethel Johnson, a large hospital with 15 rural clinics, an extensive agricultural program, and providing reliable internet access across the conference for pastors and leaders. These are just a few of the ministries currently in place.
A bit of history is helpful as you give and pray. In our previous denomination these annual conferences, as were most international conferences, were fully funded by the US conferences. This led to massive corruption and mismanagement of funds. In Africa especially, there are very li le local funds available. Our goal in the GMC is to help every international conference become administratively self-sufficient, even in Africa. All the conferences in the partnership have agreed to a 5-year declining support scale. After that, we will be able to fully support they're on the ground ministries which will always be a need. The African churches do not have the capacity to fund the ministries to simply sustain life.
